What Is Mogroside?

Since mogroside is directly extracted from plants without chemical synthesis, it is a natural sweetener. The sweetness of mogroside is about 300 times that of sucrose, and its energy is almost zero. Based on Lee's research, researchers successively extracted more than 10 kinds of triterpenoid sweet substances from Luo Han Guo. Among them, mogroside V is the main sweet component. It is a high-sweet tetracyclic triterpenoid saponin. Due to its high sweetness, low energy, safety and non-toxicity, mogroside V has become a hot plant extract in the international market, and its demand is gradually increasing.
